Meetings

Metro Detroit HELP meetings are open to people with herpes and their partners. The meetings have varying formats including discussion, videos, and speakers. The purpose is to share our strength, knowledge, and experience. Many of our members have 10 or more years experience dealing with herpes. Feedback from other members often helps to see things from a different, more positive perspective. Social events are sometimes planned. These events give us a chance to socialize in an open atmosphere. There is also a more informal get together at a local restaurant after each meeting. We'd like to welcome the Washtenaw/Ann Arbor HELP group to our website. We have decided to share our resources and host their group information on the MDH website. Please click the link in our calendar for more information.

Once inside the BCBS building please follow the Metro Detroit HELP signs. We usually meet in the room behind the cafeteria (one floor below reception) but occasionally meet elsewhere in the building.

  Parking

Visitors to the Blue Cross Blue Shield building will now be required to show picture identification. The identification will scanned and a visitor's badge will be issued. This badge must be returned to security upon leaving the building. This procedure applies to all visitors and not just MDH. They do not know why we are there... just that we are visitors.

  Car Pools

If you are interested in carpooling to the Metro Detroit HELP meetings please contact us. If we can we'll put you in contact with another person near you. Or if you are a new member and wish to go to the meeting with someone else, please contact us.

  Facilitator

We need volunteers to host and facilitate for our monthly meetings. We'd like to share the load and get the benefit and experience of many people. You can volunteer to host them on an ongoing basis or volunteer to host one or two. If you'd like to help facilitate a meeting you can find out more here.
